Wiring
From the factory, the 2 Channel controller comes in PPM mode. Plug this into the desired channel, giving the board a pixel output controlled by that channel.
To access the full functionality, plug the board into the serial port of your receiver, and use the instructions below to select the transmitter protocol and the channels for the various features.
On the input side of the pixel driver, the signal and ground goes to the receiver, and the positive goes to the battery, whilst the ground lead is split between the two, similar to an old retract servo. A harness can be brought from RC Light Systems to ease the installation. The output of the Pixel driver plugs directly into the pixel strip from RC Light Systems. When pixel strip is brought from RC Light Systems, a connector is on the end of the strip. If the strip is cut or bought elsewhere, be sure to get the wires the correct way around - signal is in the middle, unlike a servo.
Programming
Hold down the button on power up to put into programming mode. The LED will flash a series of red flashes, with the number of flashes indicating the programming mode to be selected. When the desired mode is highlighted, press the button to change the setting.
The modes are:
Once in one of these modes, the light will flash green, again the number of the flashes representing the settings, (protocol, channel or configuration). A short press of the button will advance the counter by one, and a long press will confirm the choice of the setting. When you reach the end of the list of options, the counter will come back round to 1. In order to make it easier to count higher to higher channels, a system of long and short flashes is used, with a short flash representing 1, and a long flash representing 5. For example, channel 12 would be two long flashes followed by 2 short ones. For Spektrum SRXL and SRXL2, the X+ channels (channels 13-20) are represented by an orange flash instead.
