The Smart iBEC provides the features you want and the protection you need.
Running an ignition BEC saves the weight of a dedicated ignition pack, the Smart iBEC not only gives this weight saving but also provides RPM telemetry so you can be sure you are getting the best from your engine.
The Smart iBEC can work with many ignition systems including DA and RCEXL.
You can use this as a simple iBEC providing switachable, regulated power, or as a complete hub for your engine providing control of your throttle servo and ignition and also providing telemetry.
The Smart iBEC is tough and will protect your RX and other radio components from any noise or HV failure the ignition could cause.
The Smart iBEC includes ultrabight LEDs both internally any to mount on the airframe so you can always tell the ignition state.
Smart iBEC
The Smart iBEC provides regulated, adjustable power for ignition modules. Advanced electronics filter noise from the ignition to ensure reliable radio operation and 7 stages of carefully selected powerline based suppression and absorption ensure that should your ignition unit ever fail and send high voltage back through the power lines that the RX will be completely protected.
The Smart iBEC works with all major radio systems and uses the time proven RCLightSystems multi-channel software, this allows the iBEC to generate throttle output from the Aux port to simplify installations.
RPM telemetry is provided, the Smart iBEC connects to the tacho port on the ignition module and provides 4 stages of protection and isolation before capturing the signal and converting to the appropriate telemetry protocol. As well as RPM telemetry the iBEC also provide current measurement so you can see how much of your flight pack is being consumed by the ignition module.
The Smart iBEC is provided with an ultrabright green LED. Depending on availability we can swap the green LED for red or blue. Please message us prior to order if this is desired.
The Smart iBEC is provided configured for PWM operation by default. We are able to pre-configure prior to shipping, please leave us a note with the order stating the radio system, output voltage and any channel assignments (BEC switch and Aux output) that you want setting.
